About People Hacking
People
Hacking Security Awareness Training was founded in 1993 by Eric Haddix
and after the 9/11 terrorist
attacks he
realized in horror that the terrorists had exploited the same
techniques that were widely known in the underground and decided that
something had to be done to stop this. Let's be brutally truthful here,
everyone who works here at People Hacking knows these social
engineering techniques and many more because
they have needed to know
something that no one would just tell them. Eric has picked up skills
from
others and from skills he has developed from his interest in human
psychology, fake psychic scams and from being a magician, he's created
and used new skills that others have yet to
dream up. So he's not only learned existing techniques, he can
innovate. This is not only desirable, it is necessary since the
world is almost always catching up with the criminals.
What Makes Us Different from the others
I've
checked out most of the other security awareness training services
available and I have found several problems. Their training programs
are rarely customized for your particular circumstances which means
that they will close several holes but they won't be intimately
familiar with your business and its internal structure; this is a huge
problem because the people hacker isn't going to stop with what these
trainers try to fit in their predetermined molds. This might be
important to you if you're simply worried about the cost of the
training but just stop and ask yourself if you're more concerned with
pricing or with protecting your information. Most of these training
programs are little more than a newsletter and maybe a web based manual
of some sort. That would be good if you could trust that everything
contained in them was fully understood by your employees and up to date
for the technology but few have
any form of test or feedback to be certain that there was any
comprehension and even fewer will re-evaluate at a later date and
sometimes what is taught is so outdated that it is last year's news.
Our
training lasts a little longer than most because we thoroughly evaluate
your business and all of its weaknesses, much in the same way an
industrial spy would. Then we draw up a map of how your company is
structured and how the security faults are most likely to be exploited.
We take that map and compartmentalize the different departments of your
company and create a custom training session for each. This means that
your sales team won't be bored senseless with training meant for your
IT people and your R&D department won't have to listen to a seminar
targeted toward accounts receivable. Hence significantly more comprehension by your employees.
Our
Mission
Our
goal is to raise awareness of and prevent social engineering attacks.
These attacks are truly "hacking people" as they delve into
psychological trickery to prey on the victims that will tell them what
they want to know given the right set of circumstances. Industrial
espionage and identity theft are even more abundant than salt these
days and very few people know how to stop people hacking because it
doesn't involve simply updating their firewall. We evaluate, train, and
re-evaluate to ensure success in preventing these attacks.
Services
We
design training seminars that help you prevent the leaking of
confidential information. An exposure of confidential data from your
company can be prevented when your employees know what to look for.
From the ground up we create an environment that automatically
reinforces itself in protecting vital records by making the employees
roleplay situations they had during the evaluation phase and many other
situations that they might encounter.
We
also do consultation for surveillance, counter surveillance, asset
protection and loss prevention via employee theft or shoplifting, wire
fraud, or many other faces of theft and fraud prevention.
